WHAT PROCEDURES COUNT AS AN EMERGENCY?

DENTAL PAIN

Do you have dentures but hate wearing them? Maybe they slide around in your mouth, causing you to constantly readjust. Maybe you’re just tired of not being able to enjoy a meal without worry of them falling out.

ABSCESS

An alarming percentage of adults are in pain from problems with their teeth. The cause can be old fillings, cracked teeth, bad dental procedures, and a wide variety of other issues that can be solved with dental implants.

DENTAL TRAUMA

Whatever the reasons, losing a tooth can change your way of life. The problems are endless, including difficulty eating, pain, discomfort, and less pride in your smile. Luckily there are options for an easy fix!

TOOTH FRACTURE

Do you find yourself hesitating to smile in public? Shy when it comes to taking pictures? Your smile is the first thing people see, and it is something you should be proud of. If you aren’t thrilled with yours, let’s fix it!

At Dr. C Family Dentistry, we believe it is our role and responsibility during this time to prioritize the health and well-being of our patients and staff. As the world begins to understand the enormous scale and human impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, our hearts go out to all who have been affected.

OFFICE CLOSURE & EMERGENCY TREATMENT

In accordance with state government direction, and to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19, Dr. C Family Dentistry is closed for elective care until May 18, 2020. We will be available for emergency treatment during this time, and will also have our front office staffed Monday and Thursday, 8am–3pm to answer voicemails and reschedule appointments. All emergency dental care will be by appointment only, please call (206) 325-0166. Examples of dental emergencies may include pain, infection, swelling, and trauma to the teeth and/or mouth, but feel free to contact us regarding issues you are having and we will determine if we can assist you immediately or recommend waiting until after May 18, 2020. Our First Hill office is centrally located on Broadway and easily accessible by foot, car, and public transportation. Everyone is welcome, whether you’ve visited us before or not.

PROTECTING OUR STAFF

At this time, no Dr. C Family Dentistry employees or patients have tested positive for COVID-19. But because this disease spreads through the mouth, hygienists, dentists, and dental assistants are at a higher risk. By closing our office, we are protecting our team. We’re also protecting you by ensuring that our clinical team members don’t become carriers. Additionally, we are providing a variety of financial support options to our entire staff during this closure and are only staffing emergency treatment on an opt-in basis.

CANCELLED APPOINTMENTS

If you have upcoming cleaning, elective/cosmetic care, or other non-emergency visits scheduled between March 18–May 18, 2020 please consider your appointment canceled. A member of our front office will reach out to you by phone, text message, or email as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment to a future date. We will be expanding our service hours as soon as its reasonably safe to do so to accommodate rescheduled appointments in the future.

COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

We remain deeply committed to our relentlessly high sanitation standards and continue to use enhanced protective measures (detailed below) to keep you and our team members safe while in our office during emergency treatment.

Enhanced protective measure we’re utilizing in accordance with guidance from the American Dental Association (ADA) and Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) we are:

  • Asking patients who have symptoms (fever, cough, or any signs of upper respiratory illness), have recently traveled internationally, or have been in close contact with someone known to have COVID-19 to stay home.
  • Maintaining our high cleaning and sanitization standards for our equipment and work spaces (including dental chairs, clinical areas, the patient waiting room, restrooms, and front office).
  • Taking the temperature of each patient and staff member upon entering the office using a Temporal Artery Thermometer that is sanitized between each use.
  • Supporting the health of our staff and patients by asking any staff members who may show signs of illness to stay home.

The CDC continues to advise that the best way to prevent the spread of the virus is through every day preventative actions, such as:

  • Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
  • Staying home when you are sick.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting your belongings regularly.

To learn more about COVID-19 and other precautions you can take, please refer to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the World Health Organization.

We thank you for your continued support of our local practice, and look forward to treating you again soon. If you have any questions about our response, please feel free to call our front office at (509) 228-3834 – 7 DAYS A WEEK.

OVER 200 5-STAR RATINGS ON GOOGLE FOR DR. C FAMILY DENTISTRY

I was blown away by both the service, technology, and thoroughness of Dr. C’s dentistry. My Dental Hygenist was Kalie P. and she was so sweet and did such an excellent job at cleaning my teeth and helping me with prevention. Best Dentist I’ve ever been to hands down. SOO happy I found them.

-Miranda R., Spokane WA

Best dentist I have ever been to. They have the nicest staff and treat you like family, I am so happy to have found a wonderful dentist.

-Kayla P., Spokane WA

This was one of the best dental visits I had. I cracked a tooth and they were able to get me in the same day. They even quoted me on future dental work that I needed. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended and very affordable. Thank you to all the staff and doctor.
